Magnetic Resonance Imaging, usually referred to as MRI, is a procedure in which radio waves and a powerful magnet linked to a computer are used to create detailed images of body structures for the purpose of diagnosis. MRI technologists use their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, patient care, and the MRI principles to safely operate advanced MRI scanners and assist the radiologist in the diagnosis of disease and injury.

We offer a comprehensive 18 month training which includes a combination of online and weekend classes, and a practical externship after completion of three semesters.

Upon completion of the program students receive an Associate of Applied Science in Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technicians usually work in hospitals, though some may work in clinics, physicians’ offices, emergency care centers, mobile units, and research centers.
