The Trans-Disciplinary Emergency
Management Program at Casa Loma College has been
developed to further the knowledge base and advancement of
emergency service workers such as firefighters, EMTs, nurses,
police/sheriffs, military personnel and other emergency
management professionals.
Due to new government mandates and current cultural need the
program is also of extreme value to personnel in the business,
public administration, healthcare and hospital administration
fields.
The Trans-Disciplinary Emergency Management program enables
persons in the emergency and public services sector to gain the
academic training and credentials necessary for advancement.
This ABHES accredited program was created by Experts in the Fire
Services and Education field for:
- Firefighters,
EMTs, Nurses and Police
- Security and
Safety Personnel
- Business
Owners and Corporate Managers
- Anyone who
needs extensive skills in emergency
management, including preparedness, recovery,
response and mitigation.
- Meets OEM and
FEMA standards
This program utilizes both asynchronous and synchronous
delivery methods via Blackboard Academic Suite in the courses and
programs, which are consistent with the level, nature and mission of the
college. These programs meet the same high academic and quality
standards maintained in regular instruction offered by Casa Loma
College.
Each student enrolled in a distance education course or
program has access to all the academic support services, instructional
equipment, and campus events and other non-academic activities which
Casa Loma College provides for other students. Support services may
include but are not limited to academic advising, counseling, library
and other education resources, tutoring services, and financial aid. In
addition academic and administrative information is available to
distance education students including , exams, grading, student-faculty
interaction, registration and fee payment procedures. |
